A space where you can come as you are. Where what your body carries can finally be met with attention and care.
Somatic psychotherapy works with the understanding that our bodies hold our histories. The tension in your shoulders, the way you hold your breath when you speak about certain things, the places where you feel numb — these are not symptoms to be eliminated. They are communications to be understood.
In a session, we pay attention to what is happening in your body as we talk. Sometimes we work with movement, breathing, or posture. Sometimes we simply notice. The goal is not to force change, but to create the conditions in which change becomes possible.
This approach differs from purely talk-based therapy in that it does not rely on insight alone. Understanding why you are the way you are is valuable, but it is not always sufficient. Somatic work helps you experience something different — and that experience, repeated over time, becomes the foundation of real change.
I find it hard to feel — or I feel too much
Constant tension that won’t go away
Relationships that repeat the same painful pattern
I cannot allow myself to be angry
A sense of being disconnected from my own body
Grief that has no place to go

I do not work with active substance addiction, acute psychotic states, or severe eating disorders requiring medical monitoring. In these cases, I will do my best to refer you to a specialist who is the right fit. Knowing the limits of one’s competence is part of ethical practice.
How do I know if somatic psychotherapy is right for me?
If you sense that your difficulties are not just in your thoughts but also held in your body — tension, numbness, restlessness — this approach may resonate.
What happens in the first session?
We talk about what brings you to therapy, your history, and what you hope for. I explain how I work. You decide whether this feels right for you.
How long does therapy take?
It varies. Some people work for a few months, others for several years. We regularly review the process together.
Do you work online?
Yes. Online sessions are conducted via secure video call. Many clients find online work equally deep and effective.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations may be charged, as that time is reserved for you.
